Surplus Lines Tax Specialist

Job Summary

Providing front-line customer service support, the full-time Surplus Lines Tax Specialist will manage client communications, prepare surplus lines tax reports, and ensure compliance with regulations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client communications by responding to inquiries, billing questions, and payment confirmations in a timely manner
• Prepare, process, and distribute surplus lines tax reports and payments to clients
• Communicate and coordinate with state regulators to ensure compliance with surplus lines requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of surplus lines tax filing experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to supporting colleagues and team success
