Survey Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely or from Washington D.C., the full-time Survey Scientist will leverage statistics, programming, and domain expertise to design and implement survey products, develop internal software tools, and manage predictive modeling processes while collaborating with various teams to enhance data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver survey products and services in collaboration with the Director of Polling
• Develop and maintain software tools to support the collection, processing, and analysis of survey data
• Own the predictive modeling process for key internal models, ensuring data quality and effective collaboration with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Experience in a quantitative production environment or a postgraduate degree in a quantitative field
• Strong knowledge of statistical foundations and modeling, including sampling techniques and survey design
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with other statistical programming languages
• Experience building predictive models using regression and machine learning techniques
• Ability to manipulate data using SQL and create engaging data visualizations with industry-leading tools
