SVP of Legal
Job Summary
Leading the global legal function, the full-time SVP of Legal will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, managing commercial contracts, compliance, and governance while building a high-performing in-house legal team across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategy aligned with business priorities, advising the CFO, CEO, and executive team on legal risks and compliance
- Oversee global commercial contracting, including negotiating SaaS agreements and managing the company's IP portfolio
- Lead legal support for M&A transactions, corporate governance, and data privacy compliance across various jurisdictions
Required Qualifications
- Law degree and current admission to practice in Australia, the United States, or a relevant jurisdiction
- 15+ years of legal experience, including senior in-house legal leadership in a technology or subscription company
- Proven experience negotiating global commercial contracts and advising C-suite executives
- Strong M&A experience, from due diligence to post-close integration
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
