Swahili Linguistic Tester

Job Summary

Seeking native Swahili/Kiswahili speakers, the part-time Freelance Linguistic Tester will perform linguistic QA, software and UI testing, and bug reporting for AI-generated content, working remotely with a modern Mac device equipped with an M-series chip.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Linguistic QA to ensure natural flow and cultural accuracy of Swahili/Kiswahili content
• Conduct software and UI testing to identify layout issues and functional bugs in the interface
• Document and report linguistic and technical errors clearly in English following testing guidelines

Required qualifications

• Native-level fluency in written and spoken Swahili/Kiswahili with professional-level English comprehension
• Active access to a Mac computer with an Apple Silicon M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer)
• Strong understanding of modern Swahili cultural nuances and localized language trends
• Comfort navigating new software interfaces and adhering to detailed testing guidelines
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work
