System Administrator

Job Summary

Taking ownership of a hybrid environment, the full-time System Administrator will manage day-to-day operations across on-premises virtualization, Microsoft 365, and AWS cloud services while ensuring system integrity and performance in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and maintain server and storage infrastructure to ensure reliable function of critical data and systems
• Administer the Hyper-V virtualization environment and manage Microsoft 365 tenant, including user lifecycle and security configuration
• Provide second-level technical support to employees and oversee system patching and security compliance

Required qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in information technology (minimum of three years)
• 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, and enterprise backup and monitoring platforms
• Working knowledge of AWS services, including EC2 and VPCs; experience with Terraform is a plus
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize requests, and drive issues to resolution
• Familiarity with security and compliance practices, with a preference for knowledge of HIPAA
