System Design Engineer

Job Summary

System Design Engineer, a contract position requiring 10+ years of experience, is responsible for designing nuclear and industrial process systems, developing mass and energy balance models, and coordinating multi-discipline analyses remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design nuclear and industrial process systems and sub-systems from concept through final design
• Develop and maintain mass and energy balance models for system performance and analysis
• Support design package development including P&IDs, 3D models, and system drawings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in system design and engineering
• Strong background in thermodynamics, fluid systems, heat transfer, and mechanical/process systems
• Experience building and maintaining mass & energy balance models (Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus)
• Ability to read and develop P&IDs
