System Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the entry-level System Engineer will manage hands-on tasks involving CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate security discrepancies.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
• Collaborate with Security, R&D, and Network Element product teams to address security issues
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting

Required qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Strong knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Macros
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks and security hardening best practices
• Basic understanding of Core Network elements, IP networking, and IP addressing
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
