System Engineer
Job Summary
To support the operation of enterprise network observability platforms, the full-time remote System Engineer will administer Azure-hosted Windows and Linux VMs, maintain network observability tools, and implement automation practices using scripting languages.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and operate Windows and Linux VMs in Azure to ensure compliance with security standards
- Maintain and upgrade network observability platforms, including syslog-ng and trapd
- Automate tasks and troubleshoot complex configurations using Bash, Powershell, or Python
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in IT systems, network, or site reliability engineering
- Strong understanding of network observability and enterprise networking protocols
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience with system capacity planning and functional configuration audits
