System Safety Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a System Safety Engineer (U.S. Citizen) for a full-time remote role with access to their Fairfax, VA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and apply appropriate safety standards to system development processes and assessments of safety-critical systems
• Verify and validate system safety requirements and their traceability to software and hardware
• Support development of safety analyses and documentation, including System Safety Program Plans and Fault Tree Analyses

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience as a safety engineer in aerospace, automotive, or related industries
• Experience with SAE ARP4754A and SAE ARP4761 processes
• Familiarity with systems engineering and software development processes for complex systems
