System Safety Project Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a System Safety Project Engineer responsible for managing the safety and certification of automated transit network projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage safety and certification for automated transit network projects from late-stage design through operational readiness
• Lead hazard analysis and safety case development for safety certification and approvals
• Coordinate with various teams and regulators to ensure compliance with project safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, safety science, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in functional safety, system safety, or safety engineering
• Experience with safety certification or approval for complex systems, including safety case development
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as IEC 61508 and EN50126
• Experience working with authorities and independent safety assessors on safety arguments and findings
