System Specialist IV

Job Summary

A company is looking for a System Specialist IV to support the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical financial systems within a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems related to financial operations and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including break/fix and bug remediation
• Provide quality assurance and code testing throughout the software development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in computer systems development or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining and operating mainframe-based financial systems
• Strong programming background in COBOL, including experience upgrading compiler versions
• Proficient with CA Scheduler, PanValet, VSAM data manipulation, and CICS for system updates
• Skilled in DB2 for z/OS, including schema design and integration planning
