Job Summary
To support a sodium-cooled reactor program, the remote contract System Transients Analysis Engineer will develop and analyze thermal hydraulics and control system models while collaborating with engineering teams on safety, design, and testing activities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop RELAP5-3D models for steady state and transient hydraulic analyses
- Analyze reactor operations and evaluate plant-wide transients for design and operational limits
- Interface with engineering groups on component, system, and control system design and testing
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in nuclear, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Experience with system codes such as RELAP5/TRACE
- Strong thermal-hydraulic analytical skills, particularly in hydraulic networks and transient analysis
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
