Systems Administrator Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise IT and cybersecurity infrastructure, the contract Systems Administrator Cyber Security Engineer will manage day-to-day operations, maintain Linux and Windows environments, and deploy cybersecurity applications while working remotely from the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of IT and IT Security tools and systems, including patch management and vulnerability remediation
• Deploy and maintain systems in collaboration with the Advanced Cyber Initiatives team, ensuring system stability and compliance with security standards
• Monitor daily ticket queues, perform access reviews, and contribute to internal documentation and Agile workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role within a large enterprise environment
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on enterprise best practices for security and hardening
• Hands-on experience with Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu) or Windows server operating systems, including troubleshooting and patching
• Basic scripting skills in Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby for task automation
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and experience using/integrating SIEM technology
