Systems Analyst

Job Summary

To support a government client in marine operations, the part-time remote Systems Analyst will finalize a File Retention Plan, establish a systematic process for future file retention, and manage legacy hardcopy documents while ensuring compliance with National Archives requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Complete and optimize the Marine Operations / Safety & Environmental Management Branch File Retention Plan
• Establish an electronic file structure for retaining documents and recommend annual dispossession processes
• Manage and evaluate hardcopy legacy documents, including scanning and organizing files for retention

Required qualifications

• Experience as a file retention specialist with government agencies
• Familiarity with National Archives file processing requirements
• Ability to translate user requirements into functional solutions
• Experience in analyzing and engineering support functions
• Completion of NOAA Records Management Fundamentals Training is preferred
