Systems Architect

Job Summary

To support the development of information systems, the remote contract Systems Architect will formulate system scope and requirements, design architecture for software and hardware, and provide technical expertise while supervising staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design architecture to meet current and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
• Ensure compliance with agency IT architecture standards and provide detailed specifications to developers
• Evaluate new software/system modifications and provide technical leadership and direction to staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Experience with broad technology delivery and custom development using various programming languages
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience in software engineering design and development
• Experience in application architecture to support construction
• Practical experience and training in relevant technical concepts and processes
