Systems Development Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of software applications analysts and programmers, the full-time Systems Development Manager will oversee project planning and resource allocation, ensuring technology effectively meets customer needs in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines while providing leadership and direction to staff
• Participate in long-range strategy and planning for the department, offering technical advice to senior management
• Review work for completeness and technical accuracy, and oversee project budgets ranging from one to five million dollars

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7 years of experience with computer systems and applications, including 5 years in project planning and management
• Extensive knowledge of planning, monitoring, and reporting on Information Systems projects
• Broad knowledge of health services applications and demonstrated knowledge of software applications and hardware platforms
• High analytical ability to solve complex technical problems and excellent negotiating skills for service level expectations and vendor contracts
