Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer to work remotely on a contract-to-hire basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize virtualization platforms for high availability and performance
• Plan and execute the decommissioning of outdated systems and ensure seamless transitions
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate security threats to protect compute systems and data

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in compute engineering or a related field
• Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
• Strong understanding of security protocols and threat mitigation strategies
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
