Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer I who is passionate about hardware and the software/firmware that enables it.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualify new hardware and firmware for the fleet in collaboration with internal engineers
• Assist in the design and validation of new hardware platforms
• Engage with hardware vendors for bug fixes and updates while improving existing qualification processes

Required Qualifications

• Technical Degree (BS in Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of x86 server hardware architecture and subsystems
• Knowledge of configuration management best practices, such as Ansible and Chef
• Experience with Linux (or Unix) operating systems
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools like IPMI/Redfish, PXE, and UEFI
