Systems Engineer II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer II to develop, implement, and maintain cloud systems for biological data analysis in research.

Key Responsibilities

• Architects, deploys, and maintains IT infrastructure for public cloud technologies using an infrastructure-as-code approach
• Collaborates with stakeholders to translate needs into system requirements and formulates new solutions or enhancements
• Independently designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains systems while documenting processes

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical degree/Bachelor's degree preferred
• 6-8 years of relevant experience required
• CompTIA Security+ Certification required; vendor training/certification preferred but not required
• Experience in cloud computing and infrastructure-as-code approaches such as Terraform
• Proficient in Linux/Unix operating systems and containerization technologies like Docker
