Systems Engineer IV

Job Summary

To support the development of a new data and AI platform for federal background investigations, the remote contract Systems Engineer IV will design and build the data architecture, implement infrastructure-as-code, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish the organization's data and AI platform, including architecture and storage solutions
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and develop CI/CD pipelines for data workloads
• Establish data governance and manage the ingestion, transformation, and pipeline layers for analysis-ready data products

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 8-10 years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering, with a focus on building data platforms from scratch
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with hands-on experience with cloud providers (Azure preferred)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD for data workloads
• Active U.S. citizenship is required
