Job Summary
Driving mission success and performance, the full-time remote Systems Engineer, Mission Success will manage processes and architectural decisions to scale spacecraft production and operations, ensuring predictable outcomes and technical integrity throughout the mission lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Enable the Muon Mission Foundry by driving architectural decisions for reliable spacecraft production and mission operations
- Partner with Mission Systems Engineers to own and track verification and validation compliance and test coverage campaigns
- Analyze on-orbit telemetry to maximize asset utility and ensure on-orbit performance aligns with pre-flight models
Required qualifications
- M.S. or higher degree in an engineering field with 8+ years of experience in mission design, spacecraft operations, and systems architecture
- Experience with deployed systems in high reliability, performance-critical environments
- Proven business acumen in engineering, understanding the impact of asset capacity and system resilience on revenue
- Extensive experience in assembly, integration, and test workflows and verification strategies
- Strong software skills (e.g., Python, Julia) with the ability to enhance existing codebases for internal tooling
