Systems Programmer III
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Systems Programmer III will write or debug programs for computer systems software, provide technical and disaster recovery support, and manage the full lifecycle of the z/OS platform.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex systems software problems to implement solutions or escalate as needed
- Install, test, and maintain systems software, including updates and patches, while modifying code to correct errors
- Participate in planning and execution of disaster recovery procedures and assist in audits across multiple platforms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of IT experience, including varied programming experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of advanced programming techniques and data storage methods
- Understanding of IBM mainframe technologies, including z/OS and related environments
- Ability to obtain a security clearance as a U.S. Citizen
