Systems Safety Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Systems Safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Define Systems Safety processes, policies, procedures, and necessary software solutions
• Conduct various safety analyses and develop mitigation plans to ensure compliance and safety
• Coordinate with system owners to identify design improvements and minimize risks

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
• 7+ years of dedicated systems safety aerospace experience
• Familiarity with civil and defense safety processes (SAE ARP-4761, MIL-STD-882)
• Basic skills in CATIA V5/V6/3DX (or similar); 3DX is preferred
• Overall knowledge of mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, avionics, and key interfaces
