Tableau Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To lead data visualization strategy, the remote Tableau Subject Matter Expert will design, develop, and optimize complex Tableau dashboards while establishing best practices and mentoring internal teams on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, scalable Tableau dashboards aligned to business priorities
• Translate stakeholder needs into structured analytics solutions and intuitive visual experiences
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and leadership teams, shaping data-driven decisions

Required qualifications

• Advanced Tableau expertise, including calculated fields and performance tuning
• Strong data wrangling and integration skills, particularly in SQL and Tableau Prep/Alteryx
• Exceptional data visualization and design thinking skills for user-centric dashboards
• Experience with enterprise Tableau environments, including Tableau Server and governance
• Executive communication and storytelling skills to influence senior stakeholders
