Job Summary
To support mutual fund regulatory and tax reporting functions, the full-time salaried Tax Administrator I will prepare tax work papers, ensure compliance with tax laws, and assist with audit administration in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares estimated year-end income and capital gain distributions, along with Subchapter M and Excise tax provision work papers
- Researches federal and state tax laws to ensure compliance and assists in the development of tax reporting for regulatory agencies
- Gathers information for responses to external audit firms and regulatory agencies during audits
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, tax, accounting, finance, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience with taxation and administration of mutual funds
- Knowledge of tax laws and procedures applicable to investment companies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered
