Taxonomist

Job Summary

To enhance content understanding and user experience, the temporary Taxonomist will design, implement, and refine organizational structures while working remotely or onsite in Seattle, WA, with a focus on data analysis and taxonomy governance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed data analysis to identify matches across various vocabularies using tools like Excel and Google Sheets
• Perform comprehensive research to enrich node metadata within taxonomies
• Provide regular status reports on project progress and identified issues to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5+ years of experience in developing taxonomies and/or ontologies
• Proven experience developing taxonomies, thesauri, or ontologies
• Experience researching and defining taxonomy and ontology node metadata
• Strong ownership and ability to self-start and build relationships with partners
