Teaching Assistant
Job Summary
To support the success of students in the Counseling and Educational Studies program, the part-time Teaching Assistant will provide academic support, assist in grading, monitor online discussions, and prepare course materials remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in grading homework, quizzes, and exams for online courses
- Monitor online discussion boards and facilitate communication with students during synchronous discussions
- Prepare and organize course materials, including assignment descriptions and student resources, prior to course commencement
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Additional education may substitute for required experience as permitted by the equivalency formula
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Completed Master's Degree in a related field is strongly preferred
- Prior teaching experience in the relevant course content area is preferred
