Team Lead, Application Security

Job Summary

Leading a team of senior engineers, the full-time Team Lead, Application Security will oversee Forward's application and product security program, modernizing pentesting practices and integrating AI solutions, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead application and product security for Forward-built, third-party, and AI-built software
• Evolve and manage the pentest program, ensuring continuous security testing and remediation
• Grow and develop a team of senior engineers while establishing quality standards for offensive testing

Required qualifications:

• Typically has 7 or more years in application security, offensive security, or product security, including team leadership
• Hands-on experience with pentesting and code review across web applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience in building or scaling security testing programs, including scoping and remediation SLAs
• Understanding of AI/LLM attack surfaces and vulnerabilities characteristic of AI-generated code
• Typically holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent industry experience
