Team Lead, Billing & Collections

Job Summary

Leading a team of collections professionals, the full-time Team Lead, Billing & Collections will manage the end-to-end process for past-due receivable collections, drive bad debt recovery rates, and enforce service-level agreements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive collection success against internal targets for bad debt recovery, litigation, and settlements
• Set and enforce service-level agreements across the collection lifecycle, ensuring accountability for team performance and vendor partnerships
• Lead, develop, and manage the performance of the collections team, including BPO and offshore resources, while driving process improvements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of team leadership or people management experience required
• 2+ years of vendor management experience required
• 1+ year of experience managing BPO or offshore teams preferred
• Working knowledge of debt-collection regulations such as the FDCPA and Regulation F required
