Team Lead Insurance Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Overseeing daily operations, the full-time Team Lead Insurance Authorization Specialist will manage the acquisition of prior authorizations, collaborate with leadership to improve processes, and mentor team members, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviews denials and collaborates with leadership to implement process improvements
• Serves as the first point of contact for inquiries and provides training and support to team members
• Ensures timely authorization of patient visits and procedures, communicating any denials to relevant staff

Required qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent with 3-4 years of experience in a medical environment, or an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes
• Understanding of authorization processes and insurance guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a large workload efficiently
