Tech Lead, Fleet Response

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for Fleet Response, this full-time position will own mission-critical full-stack systems for real-time collaboration in autonomous vehicle support, leading a team to ensure reliable, low-latency web applications that directly impact Waymo's autonomous fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of mission-critical web applications
• Manage frontend and backend infrastructure, ensuring robust APIs and seamless service integration
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-functional teams on optimal web application utilization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
• 5+ years of industry experience with web applications (frontend and backend)
• Familiarity with web client architectures such as Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS
• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex projects
• A strong intrinsic motivation for reliability
