Tech Lead, Fleet Response

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Tech Lead, Fleet Response, to own mission-critical full-stack systems for real-time autonomous vehicle support in a full-time capacity, leading a team of engineers to ensure reliable, low-latency visualization and interaction with Waymo's autonomous fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of web applications used for real-time support of autonomous vehicles
• Manage frontend and backend infrastructure, including robust APIs and integration with various services
• Mentor junior engineers on web app infrastructure design and engineering best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years of industry experience with web applications (frontend and backend)
• Familiarity with web client architectures such as Angular and TypeScript
• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex projects
• Strong motivation for reliability in system performance
