Tech Lead, Fleet Response

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Tech Lead, Fleet Response in a full-time capacity, who will own mission-critical full-stack systems for real-time collaboration, leading a team of engineers to ensure reliable, low-latency web applications that support Waymo's autonomous fleet operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of web applications used for real-time autonomous vehicle support
• Lead the development of frontend and backend infrastructure, including robust APIs and seamless service integration
• Mentor junior engineers on infrastructure design and best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years of industry experience with web applications (frontend and backend)
• Familiarity with web client architectures such as Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS
• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex projects
• Strong motivation for reliability and user collaboration
