Tech Lead, Fleet Response
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for Fleet Response, the full-time position will own mission-critical full-stack systems that support real-time collaboration for Waymo's autonomous vehicle operations, leading a team of engineers to ensure reliable, low-latency web applications.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of mission-critical web applications for autonomous vehicle support
- Manage frontend and backend infrastructure, including robust APIs and service integration
- Mentor junior engineers on web app infrastructure design and best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of industry experience with web applications (frontend and backend)
- Familiarity with web client architectures such as Angular and TypeScript
- Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex projects
- Strong intrinsic motivation for reliability
