Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will oversee the development of scalable payroll systems and services while collaborating closely with product and operations to drive workflow improvements in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support the migration of new businesses onto Check's infrastructure and automate operational workflows using AI

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience in software development and a desire to continue building with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring individual contributors
• Familiarity or willingness to learn the current technology stack, including Python/Django, React, and AWS
