Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will oversee the development of solutions for complex payroll systems, manage team dynamics, and collaborate closely with product and operations to enhance workflow improvements, with the flexibility to work remotely or in-office.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Desire to remain hands-on and actively build with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Interest in improving engineering workflows and utilizing AI technologies
