Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Tech Lead Manager, this role will be responsible for transforming complex payroll-related challenges into effective solutions while managing a team and collaborating closely with product and operations to enhance workflow and drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support businesses in migrating large employer bases to Check's infrastructure and automate workflows using AI

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience with a desire to continue building alongside the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Interest in improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI technologies
