Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support the growth of payroll solutions, the full-time Tech Lead Manager will scale systems, design services for money movement, and automate operational workflows while collaborating closely with product and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems that power payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings
• Design services for clear and traceable money movement and reconciliation
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience leading or managing a team
• Desire to remain hands-on and build alongside the team
• Track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Passion for improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI
