Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will scale systems for payroll calculations, design money movement services, and automate operational workflows, while collaborating closely with product and operations in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems that handle payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability for partners
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Desire to remain hands-on and actively build with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring individual contributors
• Passion for improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI technologies
