Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will scale payroll systems, design financial services, and automate operational workflows while collaborating closely with product and operations teams in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for moving and reconciling money across parties, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience with a desire to continue building alongside the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Passion for improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI technologies
