Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will manage and amplify solutions for complex payroll systems, collaborating closely with product and operations to define roadmaps and improve workflows, while working remotely or in-office as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability for partners
• Use AI to automate operational workflows and support new businesses migrating onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience leading or managing a team
• A hands-on approach to building with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Desire to learn and work with technologies such as Python/Django, React, and AWS
