Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To drive impactful solutions for payroll systems, the full-time Tech Lead Manager will manage a team, scale systems for payroll calculations, and design services for money movement while collaborating closely with product and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems that support payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings
• Design services for money reconciliation and ensure clarity for partners
• Support the migration of large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience in software development with a desire to continue building
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn technologies such as Python/Django, React, and AWS
