Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

To drive innovative solutions for payroll challenges, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager will manage and amplify team efforts while scaling systems, designing services for financial transactions, and automating workflows using AI, with the flexibility to work remotely or from the New York City office.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems that support payroll calculations and tax payments as complexity increases
• Design services for moving and reconciling money, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto Check's infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience with a desire to build alongside the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Interest in improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI technologies
