Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time Tech Lead Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex problems related to payroll systems, leading a team to enhance workflow, and collaborating closely with product and operations to drive business growth, with the option to work remotely or in-office.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as complexity increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto the infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience in software development and a desire to continue building with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring individual contributors
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Python/Django, React, Typescript, AWS, Terraform, Postgres, and Temporal
