Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time Tech Lead Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex problems related to payroll systems, scaling operations, and leading a team while collaborating closely with product and operations to define strategic roadmaps and workflow improvements, with the option to work remotely or in-office.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems for payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings as business volume increases
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation, ensuring clarity and traceability
• Support new businesses in migrating large employer bases onto the infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems end-to-end
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Desire to remain hands-on and actively build with the team
• Track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring individual contributors
• Interest in improving engineering workflows and experimenting with AI technologies
