Tech Lead Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time Tech Lead Manager, the successful candidate will manage complex software solutions that enhance payroll processes, scale systems for increased volume, and support new businesses migrating to Check's infrastructure, while working remotely or in-office in New York City or San Francisco.

Key responsibilities

• Scale systems that power payroll calculations, tax payments, and filings
• Design services for money movement and reconciliation across parties
• Use AI to automate operational workflows and improve efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building complex software and delivering production systems
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Hands-on experience in software development and a desire to continue building with the team
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes and mentoring engineers
• Familiarity or willingness to learn technologies such as Python/Django, React, and AWS
