Tech Lead Manager - Machine Learning

Job Summary

Leading the development of machine learning systems for the Personalization Engine within Cedar Pay, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager - Machine Learning will manage the ML lifecycle, execute full-stack ML engineering, and provide technical leadership while mentoring a team of ML engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the machine learning system that powers the Personalization Engine, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Lead and execute engineering work across MLOps and ML modeling, making hands-on contributions and guiding team members
• Conduct code and design reviews, manage ML engineers, and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a track record of building production ML systems
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in the full ML lifecycle
• 1+ years of experience managing ML engineers or leading technical teams
• Experience collaborating with product leaders and software engineers to integrate ML systems into broader software products
• Passion for applying machine learning to improve the healthcare financial experience
