Tech Lead Manager, Site Reliability
Job Summary
To lead a small, high-ownership Site Reliability team, the full-time salaried Tech Lead Manager, Site Reliability will manage technical decision-making, people leadership, and hands-on coding while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of applications in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take on inbound SRE and platform work directly, contributing to incident response and infrastructure automation
- Own technical debt and infrastructure modernization, prioritizing and resolving issues within the team's scope
- Guide technical direction through system design, architectural consultation, and hands-on code reviews while managing team performance and development
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong coding skills
- 3+ years of professional platform engineering experience, incorporating DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Prior experience in owning technical direction and people management
- Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and modern microservice architectures
- Experience with Golang, TypeScript, and React is a plus
