Tech Ops Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contracted basis, the Tech Ops Engineer will ensure system uptime and integrity for customer systems, manage installations and upgrades, and document technical designs during overnight EST hours from 1 AM to 9 AM.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain system uptime and integrity while building and architecting systems
• Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
• Collaborate with dev-ops to implement and scale-up automation of core tasks

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Expert system administrator for Debian-based distributions
• Experience with multiple hosting environments (cloud, bare metal, VPS)
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Proficient in databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
