Technical Accountant

Job Summary

Researching and interpreting accounting guidance, the full-time Technical Accountant will support accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and SAP, while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders in a remote, hybrid, or onsite capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting guidance related to transactions, contracts, and regulatory developments
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda documenting conclusions and rationale
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and financial reporting standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• Master's degree in Accounting or CPA designation, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior role, such as Sr. Auditor or Sr. Accountant, required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation preferred
